What we're doing to improve accessibility

We plan to:

  • Find out if we can allow users to save progress so the form doesn't need to be completed in one session
  • Find oppurtunities to reduce the length and information required by users to complete the form
  • Monitor the usage of this form to see where users drop out so we can identify potential issues

How we have tested this website

We test this website using automated and manual accessibility tools. Both types of testing are run against the W3C WAI Web Content Accessiblity Guideline version 2.2 (opens in a new tab)

For manual testing, we use the WAVE Chrome browser extension and NVDA screen reader to check that the web pages are compliant with the guidelines. Our testers manually navigate around the pages and check that content is presented in a logical order.

For automated testing, we integrated Pa11y to carry out the checks.
